Job Description: Mechanic
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. This role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation for marine and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Operation:
- Operate UHP water blasting equipment for cleaning, coating removal, and surface preparation.
- Ensure proper setup and alignment of equipment before use.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform regular maintenance on pumps, hoses, nozzles, and other components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in UHP systems.
- Keep equipment in optimal condition to minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, to protect personnel and equipment.
- Conduct safety checks and inspections before and during equipment operation.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and proper waste disposal practices.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Report equipment malfunctions and provide recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with supervisors, project managers, and team members to meet project goals.
- Provide technical expertise and training to team members as needed.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with UHP water blasting or similar high-pressure systems.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of UHP equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment used in mechanical repair.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Certifications:
- OSHA compliance training, confined space entry, and first aid certifications preferred.
- Ability to obtain industry required certifications
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
- Willingness to work in varying conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.
